Our Classes / Curriculum

Holy Trinity Lutheran Preschool Program
A typical day at Holy Trinity Lutheran includes a generous amount of ” Learning center time,” during which a child can explore, discover, touch, create, pretend, and relate to the other children. Outdoor play is an important part of our program. Activities in which each class participates as a whole include singing, rhythms, dancing, “talk-time,” dramatizations, story time, counting games, and many other art projects. There is also a midmorning snack, which is provided by the school.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Preschool Curriculum
Our program presents an individualized competency-based model of readiness instruction. Our program has been developed to provide a simple informal teaching appraoch utilizing sequentially developed activiites. It will allow each child to work at his/her own developmental level so that his/her preschool experience will be successful and positively reinforcing. As specific skills are developed and competencies are attained, new activities will be introduced. Our activities are "child oriented." They are designed to stimulate perceptions by providing specific readiness skills essential for future success. Although many theories of educators, psychologists and child development leaders are incorporated within our prgram (Montesori, Piaget, Erickson, Bruner...) Our Program is first and formose a Chirstian Program in which we hooope to reinforce the child's spiritual development through Bible stories, songs and movies, all of which may be related to every day life.

Our developmentally appropriate curriculum is based on the Word of God. Throughout each preschool day, the children are encouraged to grow closer to Jesus and learn more about Christian life through a saving relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Daily curriculum is designed throught a multitude of activities based on play that fosters creative expression and world discovery. The curriculum enhances the child spiritually, emotionally, cognitively, physically and socially.

Guiding Each Child's Discovery of His/Her Unique Significance in God's World
We believe children learn by doing! Play is an integral part of the classroom, encompassing all your child's learning activities. Our qualified and caring staff will provide a quality environment that will enhance your child's self-esteem, guide your child's learning, and aid in the development of social and educational skills necessary for future learning. Our curriculum nurtures children of churched and un-churched families.

Helping Children Grow in Heart as Well as Mind
While our program revolves around your child's individual needs and interest, we believe that education should also include a focus on his/her relation to a community of others. Our curriculum emphasizes the development of your child's social skills, including building friendships, respect for others, conflict resolution, and advocating for one's needs and ideas. Our goal is to promote self-esteem and problem solving abilities, which help children gain the confidence to face new experiences.

Our Program is a Joint Ministry
The preschool involves the child, family, staff, congregation, & the community ministry. It is operated on a non-discriminatory basis offering equal treatment and access to all children without regard to sex, race, color, creed, or political belief.

Our Philosphy
Every child has the opportunity to grow spiritually, cognitively, emotionally, socially, and physically in a loving Christ-centered nurturing environment
